I have discovered the most amazing market, in the village of Glebe in Sydney, NSW, its open Saturdays 10 till 4.00.
Whilst I am staying in Glebe at the moment, I am fortunate to have had 2 Saturdays to visit the market, unfortunately, I may need another suitcase to take all my purchases back with me to the UK.
Glebe market began at the beginning of the 90's, and I was fortunate to meet some of the longest resident stall holders. The market is more than just a place to pick up individual clothing or accessories, its a whole experience, with international foods to eat, stall holders that are only too willing to chat, and live music for 3 hours in the afternoon.

From vintage to modern t shirts and hats with a hippy vibe, I then bought a few items from Sappo Trading, who had an awesome range of spiritual inspired tops, which will be great for yoga, with the Chakra symbols on.
This hat totally had my name on it, it couldn't be more perfect in my eyes, the vest top opposite looks great with denim shorts, or I will wear for yoga or meditation.
Again, I could have bought many more things from Sappo Trading, who have been there, pretty much from when the market started. I had a chat with Nigel the stal holder, a fellow Yorkshire man as it 'appens.
I was introduced to the lovely Peter from Jack Whoppy, a t shirt designer, from whom I bought some cool t shirts for my other half, I particularly like the Jimi Handrix concert flyer one. Peter was super friendly, and was telling me about his 20 years plus experience at the market, I told him how awesome the stall holders are.
My favourite experience was with Mario Chaquiras and friends who serenaded me with 'You are my sunshine', and Ilkely Moor Bha Tat. Mario makes exquisite jewellery which is inspired by his home country of Equador.
I hung out with these guys for a bit, joining in with their music, it was a great laugh, and I ended up buying 2 pairs of earrings from him, a pair for me and a pair for a gift.
According to Peter from Jack Whoppy, Mario has been trading at the market since day one, and is the longest reigning stall holder.
Not only are they chatty, the stall holders can be inspirational, like Lara from Glory Box. Lara makes clothes and prints her own fabrics, Lara like myself is into vibrant colours, and being bold, I loved Laras clothes, but unfortunately, I spent most of my spending money on vintage, so I didn't get anything from her on this occasion. Its great meeting like minded people, that are doing simillar things to you across the globe. Lara also makes jewellery and awesome large earrings, I loved her attitude, and she is also ethically and eco aware with her business.

I am totally in love with Glebe Market, and if I lived in the area, Foxy Lady Creations would be there as a stall holder, and naturally fit in with the vibe.
Great blog Sarah sounds like a fab place!
